I got into climbing by chance at the age of 8 and I feel so fortunate for the way of life that the sport has offered me. I started out as a competition climber which gave me a good grounding in training and gave me a reason to travel the world as a member of the GB climbing team. Having concentrated primarily on competitions and outdoor sport climbing in the past, I am now at a stage where I would like to try other aspects of the sport - trad, winter and alpine climbing and I've recently started skiing. After graduating from Edinburgh University in July 2014, I'm excited to start dedicating more time to climbing - I just love the sense of adventure that it gives me!
