I am 17 years old living in Honley near Huddersfield I have been climbing for over 11 years now and concentrate on bouldering. I climb because I like it. If I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t do it. I really like to compete and my biggest inspiration is when the crowd gets behind me and cheers me on; It really boosts my confidence. Also just climbing with friends who can give their input and help to work problems.

My biggest acheivement has to be making the British Bouldering Team. I think I am the youngest male to ever make it in and I now have some of the UK’s top climbers to train with and to spur me on. I haven’t really thought much about my future in climbing… I just wish to keep progressing and see where it takes me. I have had so much help and encouragement from so many people. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am now.  I don’t just climb, I also BMX and do parkour in my spare time. These actually help quite a lot with my climbing for core strength and balance. They’re also really fun.
