Well, at last I have been able to get outside and do a bit of climbing - whoop whoop.

Managed to get out for a couple of days with Jee and Tom which was cool - I lead Nerve Ending 7b.

Lee had a week off work this week so we have been getting to Kilnsey and had one day at Malham. I managed to tick off Alternative Optional Extra 7a+ which is a stamina fest and also got Pantomime 7b+ which I found harder than Comedy! Went to Kilnsey today again today but it was absolutely freezing with a bitter wind blasting across the crag - aaagggghhh, I'm sure my lips went blue!

Yestersay we went to Malham and I had a top rope and then a red point attempt on New Dawn - it is such a good route but painful on the fingers at the start. Hopefully going back to Malham tomorrow to get on it again.

Big up to Lee who managed to make a good come back to outside climbing after a run of recurring injuries to his shoulder.

I can't beleive it - I've got stacks of time off work for the summer hols and the weather has been rubbish. I'm absolutely gutted.

Still enjoying training indoors but really want to get on some real rock now.

Since the BBC's I had two weeks where I was really ill and pretty much spent the full two weeks in bed. It was so boring.

The best thing that has happened this summer is that me and Lee have bought a van and it's already kitted out in the back ready for us to camp in!! Whoop Whoop - (just need the weather now!!!)

Heading up to Kendal on Monday to stay at my Ma's house so I am hoping to get outside in the lakes.

I realised it has been a while since I blogged - oopppsss!!! I can't even remember half the stuff I've been up to but here goes!

I managed to get in a couple of trips to Malham and lead Tremelo 7c which was a really fun climb with a bit of a scary run out to the chain! Really enjoyed the climb and it was an amazing day all round wit Tanya leading Tremolo as her first 7c (whoop whoop), Garry leading Seventh Ardvark 7b and Jee making a fantastic and inspiring ascent of his first 8c.

Climbed at the Rock Over Climbing opening competition and had a really good day. Didn't climb as well as I wanted but wasn't surpised due to not having had any rest!

Climbed at the City Bloc competition and had a fantastic time. The problems were awesome as usual and I got into the final in thrid place and came third overall.

On the weekend just gone I competed in the BBC's - I was not sure whether to compete as I usually have a real nightmare at this event and climb like a muppet - however I decided I would stop being a whimp and do it. I climbed really well in the qualifiers getting into the final in 5th place. In the final I completely miss read the first problem and had a pretty good effort on the fourth problem. Overall I came 6th which I was really happy wih. My best BBC's to date.

Had to go back to work this week so haven't been able to get outside this week - BOO!

Trained at Boulder Uk on Monday working on strengthening my shoulders, Tuesday I trained at City Bloc working at on-sighting problems.

Thursday I headed over to Stockport with Lee to do some routes in last minute prep for the leading ladder finals! Had a really good session though so was pretty psyched for the comp....

It was a fantastic comp with some really interesting and difficult routes. I had a great day and cam in 1st place in the elite category!  Whoop Whoop!!!
