Scarpa develop a last to specifically suit the end use of each boot. As a result, when you step into a SCARPA boot, you can be sure it has been carefully designed to suit you and your activity. Additionally, SCARPA were the first company to develop a purpose made last for women's boots. Today every ladies specific model has a dedicated female last. These lasts are slimmer in the mid foot and heel areas (Note: This female last may also be appropriate for a slim, low volume male foot and conversely a high volume, broad female foot may be better suited to the standard last).

The lasts used in the Scarpa range are:
AX - Used in, Galactic, Cyclone XCR
Unique to our Alpine X product, this dedicated trail shoe last, provides optimum foot positioning for these ultra light and fast moving product, whilst providing a high level of comfort for those who chose to use the product in leisure use.
AE -Used in, Freney XT, Cumbre
Has been formed using all the acquired knowledge of over 50 years of making mountaineering boots. The last has excellent toe shaping for climbing and an improved forefoot shape to give a precise fit with enhanced comfort. The heel has been shaped to provide superb heel hold. The new AE last brings together a superb technical fit for mountaineering and perhaps the highest levels of comfort yet achieved in such high performance mountaineering boots.
RSN, RSD - Used in, Manta/ Lady Manta
An outstanding last, as used on the classic Manta models, giving optimum balance between all day walking comfort and support, with a superb toe shape for underfoot precision during walking and scrambling. Broad at the widest point of the forefoot, with excellent heel fit. Available in a women's specific version RSD, which shares the same characteristics, but tailored to the lower volume foot.
LBA - Used in, Lady ZG65/20/40/10, Lady Nepal
Based on the new BA last, this version has been designed for the women's versions of the Zero Gravity line. It features the characteristics of the BA last, yet is tailored to the lower volume foot.
BX - Used in, SL, Infinity, Nepal
Last based on a foot of average width, suitable for 90% of people. Tapered at the back in the heel area. Medium instep and ankle area, shaped for good anatomical fit. Suitable for the average foot with a normal plantar arch and contained ankle bone hollow.
BXX - Used in, SL wide, Peak06
A wider and higher volume version of the BX last, especially for people with extra wide or larger volume feet.
BXD - Used in, Lady SL, lady Infinity, Lady Peak
A slimmer shape and lower volume version of the BX last, specifically designed to fit the female foot.
BA - Used in, ZG65/20/40/10,
This last is designed to avoid the generally "sloppy" fit of many trekking boots that may provide instant comfort in store, but fail to perform when needed. We have worked to provide a precision fit that will inspire confidence when used. The forefoot and toe volume are generous, without feeling over roomy, the arch and heel area are superbly sculpted to provide the desired hold and support during use.
RB - Used in, Ranger, Ranger GTX
A specialist last designed to provide a flowing walking action for walkers and ramblers. Designed specifically for the British foot. High volume.
BRD - Used in, Lady Ranger, Lady Ranger GTX
A lower volume fit version of the BR last. Designed specifically for walking and rambling. Will suit a lower volume or female foot.
FT - Used in, Charmoz
Introduced to the mountaineering line, this last gives a very technical and precise feel for climbing and scrambling, but is not radically asymmetric and carries a medium volume. It therefore provides a perfect balance of precision and comfort as featured in our and new Charmoz model.
DL - Used in, Mirage
Tested and proven in many of Scarpa’s best selling alpine models, this last provides a higher volume and broader fit, with exceptional all day mountain comfort, regardless of the activity. As used on the very versatile new Mirage model.
BB - Used in, Enigma, Ego
New to our Zero Gravity Low shoes, this dedicated shoe last, offers the instant comfort proven in our ZG trekking line, but affords “real” foot support and hold making these shoes perfect for more technical walking. Medium to high volume.
BBL - Used in, Lady Enigma, lady Ego
New to our Zero Gravity Low shoes, this dedicated ladies shoe last, offers the instant comfort proven in our ZG trekking line, but affords “real” foot support and hold making these shoes perfect for more technical walking
ZN - Used in, Echo XCR

FS -Used in, Pro Ascent
