Ideally suited to hill, mountain and glacier walking on rugged terrain and the occasional easier alpine and UK winter climb. The Scarpa® Manta excels in winter walking, where crampons are used for extended periods.
Close to a staggering 10% weight loss has been achieved by moving to the new Vibram Jorasses sole unit and pro-fiber midsole, in turn the boot has been lowered, making it more dexterous and stable underfoot. Despite the weight reduction we have been able to add a generous rubber rand, which adds protection and abrasion resistance.
The Last changes to DL, a form that has proven to be exceptionally comfortable and universal in its fitting ability.

The new Maverick Gtx builds upon the motivation behind the Rebel Carbon to create a highly technical B2 boot at a remarkable price point. The Maverick combines a lightweight, durable suede upper with a rubber rand at the areas of high abrasion; the toe and the heel to produce a high performance boot with significant weight savings. The Flex Point system combines Auto Fit Technology with the Elastic Band System (EBS) resulting in a precise fit with even pressure distribution across the top of the foot and a significant weight reduction. The Maverick also features the Re-Active sole unit used on the Rebel which utilises cutting edge injection moulding technology to produce a one piece, triple density PU midsole. The grey coloured PU runs the length of the boot providing a perfect mix of support and shock absorption. The orange PU inserts provide extra stiffness across the forefoot increasing edging performance and support while using crampons. The green PU at the heel is high density and supports the TPU (thermo plastic) crampon attachment point. These elements combine giving a precise and technical fit saving weight without compromising comfort.
