Ski Technical
Overview
Our constant pursuit of excellence is deeply embedded in our design, technology and materials. Every attribute and feature in each SCARPA® boot relates to the desired terrain and intended use. Ski farther, harder, faster.
Bindings
No other ski boot manufacturer in the world offers the range of binding compatibility that SCARPA does.
There is no telemark, alpine touring or alpine binding in production for which SCARPA does not make a boot.
Alpine (DIN)
The required standard for use in alpine bindings. Known interchangeably as DIN, TUV or ISO 5355, this standard is synonymous with dependable release and bomber security. (Though our lawyers tell us that no boot/binding system can guarantee your safety in all circumstances.
Alpine Touring (AT)
Sometimes referred to as UNI or ISO 9523, the universal norm for alpine touring features a lug sole for maximum traction over any terrain. These boots are only recommended for use in touring bindings. Or walking anywhere requiring positive traction.
Tour Lite Tech (TLT)
Also known as the Dynafit® System or Tech, TLT represents the lightest alpine touring bindings available and requires special boot fittings. SCARPA has 10 boots with TLT fittings, including the Terminator X and Terminator X Pro telemark boots (NTN) that are compatible with touring bindings. SCARPA is the only licensed manufacturer using Dynafit®-made inserts, both standard and “Quick Step-In.”
75mm Telemark Norm (75mm)
As the name implies, the traditional “duck-billed” boot is the telemark norm. This has been the standard for telemark boots and bindings since the telemark revival of the 1970s.
New Telemark Norm (NTN)
The revolutionary New Telemark Norm boot standard fits Rottefella’s NTN bindings and features an AT spec toe. With an underfoot attachment, this boot/binding system redefines telemark performance.
Inner boots
Scarpa Inner Boots offer an Absolute Custom Fit
Absolute Custom Fit
We pre-mold our liners into each specific shell, eliminating any gaps or spaces between the liner and shell that sewn liners have, ensuring unsurpassed performance and power. Thermoforming ensures customized fit and the maximum comfort, thanks to the increased isolation of the foot from outside temperatures.

Planet Friendly
The demand for energy Demographic growth and the development of the great economic systems have taken energy consumption to unsustainable peak levels for the planet. Energy sources At the present time, 92% of our global energy needs comes from primary, non-renewable sources. Damage caused by energy production Even if the energy sources currently used were inexhaustible, there would still be serious problems due to the CO2 emissions resulting from the use of fossil fuels. We now know that the enormous amount of CO2 from combustion is responsible for the greenhouse effect and rise in the earth’s temperatures. They lead to major climate changes, upsetting ecosystems, social systems and the planetary economy. We are still in time to reverse the trend by mending our ways, as individuals, institutions and enterprises. An eco-sustainable choice Our products tread the most wonderful and unspoiled landscapes on earth. We feel we must do our best to preserve them. The first...
