The first day brought tough terrain of North Wales' biggest mountains along with some even tougher conditions. Thunder and lightning along with driving rain, saw the route diverted for safety away from Crib Goch and up Yr Wyddfa instead.

SCARPA's Carmine de Grandis finished day one in a time of 14:46:36!

2025 Dragon’s Back Race – Day Two

Nant Gwynant to Dolgellau

59km (36.5 miles) | 3400m (11,155ft)

Day two of the Dragon's Back race sees the route heading into Southern Eyri and into some of the toughest terrain the runners will face.

Whilst the peaks are smaller the ground underfoot gets more broken and rugged making day two a tough mental challenge as well as physical.

Carmine de Grandis is still going strong after a tough day he finished in a time of 23:42:16.

Day three includes Cadair Idris, the second most popular mountain in Wales behind Yr Wyddfa. Runners then headed into the sweeping Cambrian Mountains.

Carmine de Grandis ran well on a tough day and finished day three in a time of 34:56:30.
