Trail Running - England

Tim Pigott

Tim Pigott was born in 1980 in Wiltshire, UK.  His childhood was a mixture of sailing and horse riding, with running more for fun.

Everything changed in August 2000 when he was involved in a serious road traffic accident. Two weeks in intensive care on life support, six months in a wheel chair, 3 years of surgeries and learning to walk again, all while being told by the medical staff he’d never run again.

However, stubborn perseverance and a career in physiotherapy helped prove them wrong. Twenty-two years later he won the Spine Challenger South which led to Elite starts at international UTMB races - a childhood dream realised at the age of 42.
