Tom has been consistently high performing on the UK bouldering scene for well over 25 years, having a slew of hard first ascents and impressive repeats up to font8b+ under his belt.
Growing up in Cheltenham, and discovering climbing in his early teens, it was when he moved to Leeds for university that he began follow his passion for outdoor bouldering and notoriously savage crimping. Also having travelled extensively, Tom has racked up an impressive CV over many years.
Tom’s passion, resilience and dedication enables him to balance a highly demanding career, leading some of the UKs largest highways construction projects, while maintaining elite level boulder performance.
Tom continues to push the boundaries as a maturing climber with competing demands, and role modelling for those who are time limited but want to push themselves. He has climbed many 8bs, flashed 8as and polished off old projects in his 40s. He is setting his sights even higher in the coming years to push his level beyond that of his 20s and 30s.
