Uisdean Hawthorn

Uisdean Hawthorn is a Scottish climber and alpinist from the remote North-West Highlands. Growing up on a hill farm, the mountains were part of everyday life long before he discovered climbing at 19.

Scottish winter climbing quickly became the foundation of his climbing, and Uisdean has since taken that experience to some of the world’s greater mountain ranges, establishing new routes in Scotland, Alaska, the Himalaya and the Canadian Rockies. His climbing is driven by remote places, unclimbed lines and the uncertainty that comes with attempting something where the outcome is far from guaranteed
