Ex ski racer turned ski mountaineer. I started running and climbing to gain fitness and develop skills for my skiing, but somehow I’ve turned into a runner and climber now too.

Tell us about your successes so far?

10+ years ski racing as part of Team GB, a couple of First Descents in the North West of Scotland and an unsupported FKT on the Gouter route on Mont Blanc.

What are you working on? What are your goals for the future?

Competing in my first skimo races and skyrunning races over the next 12 months. Squeezing in some speedy 4000er ascents around events.

Why do you ski? What do you love about skiing?

The same reason I do any of my sports, pure freedom in the mountains.

Which Scarpa shoe is your favourite?

The F1 LT was the first boot that really caught my eye, but after getting hooked on fast and light projects, I find myself drawn to the even lighter Aliens.

Tell us about your best day skiing?

I must have 4 or 5 “best days ever” a season. It would be hard to single one out!

What do you do away from your sport?

I don’t. I coach ski racers and enjoy photographing the sports I do, which I guess is a little different, but I’m pretty obsessed with doing what I do.
