Matthew Phillips

Name: Matthew Phillips

D.O.B: 4/11/2000

Hometown: Guildford

Sport: Climbing

I was born in 2000 missing my right arm below the elbow. I started out as a national level swimmer and started climbing in 2014 after I started to find swimming boring.

I had not done any climbing previously except for the odd birthday party. I entered an open para climbing competition in 2014 and came 3rd with no formal training. After this I didn't look back, got a climbing coach and started regularly training.
