Tell us about your successes so far?
My proudest success to date would be winning the u20 home international event in Northern Ireland in the individual and team as it had been such a tough year for races and in general.
I’m very proud also of being the British Inter-counties champion 2021 as I’d gone into the race not really expecting to finish that high up.

Why do you run? What do you love about trail running?
I love running in the mountains in particular for the gorgeous feeling of standing on the summit and looking at the views and just feeling so peaceful or at least further away from everything else. Coming back down the hill after a run and the feeling of satisfaction is the best reason to keep going out.

Which Scarpa shoe is your favourite?
I’ve been using the Ribelle Run and it’s been amazing for running along trials across moorlands. The cushion feels very bouncy which is a nice change from my usual fell shoes.

Tell us about your best day running
One of the best days I remember was going up Scarfell from Wosdale side I think mid January or early February and it was absolutely freezing but sunny and clear. The air felt really thin and crisp and it was frosty then as we got to the summits it was covered in snow and it was the kind of snow that was glittering on the surface and the views were incredible. I don’t think I can pick just 1 specific day – there’s bits i remember from so many outings that were the best.

What do you do away from your sport?
On days I don’t have training I actually enjoy going to work- there’s a really friendly group of us working there and it’s something so different to running. I also like music and play the guitar and when I feel motivated I enjoy drawing or painting – usually a photo of a day out I liked.

Not too far but I love the Cairngorms in Scotland or the Lake District especially when the weathers good!
