Molly Thompson Smith - Scarpa

Molly Thompson Smith

After having a go at climbing for my 7th birthday party, I was instantly hooked. After that, I soon got into competition climbing and have spent the last 9 years travelling to compete on the international circuit.

2018 was a big one for me; I decided to forget about competitions, went travelling to some amazing places, climbed on some beautiful rock, then decided I wanted to be out on the competition circuit so came home to train.

It was the first full year I competed in as a fully fledged senior and I managed to have the best season of my life, taking away a bronze medal and a top 10 World Ranking. I'm hoping to get back to that level and push myself outside on rock in-between competitions and during the off season.

-Favourite Scarpa-

Drago - soft and sensitive. Great for volumes and general climbing. As a light climber some shoes can feel stiff and hard to wear in enough, but the drago was just the right amount of delicate, firm and precise.

-No Place too Far-

Grampians National Park, Australia. So beautiful out there and rock like you've never seen before! From Font like slopey snadstone in the Valley of the Giants, to obvious hold lines on the orange rock of the Hollow Mountain Cave, to the amazing swirly formations found at Kindergarten. Really has it all!
