I started climbing about ten years ago at a less than ideal local wall after Joe got me into it. Outdoor climbing has always been what motivates me, in particular, UK rock. But with Norwich being such a long way away from any outdoor climbing, I wasn’t able to get out as much as I would have liked. I’m currently at University in Sheffield, so have some of the best climbing in the UK on my doorstep, and even though I’ve been here for over a year now, the novelty still hasn’t worn off. In my opinion, there’s nothing better than going out bouldering on a cold, dry day, with other psyched climbers.

I hope to continue to climb outside a lot in the future, and hopefully improve as a climber and meet more like-minded people. At the moment I only really go bouldering but in the future I’d like to get more into other disciplines of climbing such as sport and maybe the odd bit of trad if it takes my fancy. Basically, as long as I can go outdoor climbing I’m happy.

-Hometown-

Norwich, Norfolk, East Anglia.

-Activities and Achievements-

Outdoor bouldering,  I wouldn’t say any one thing in particular has stood out to me in my climbing. But some of my favourite climbs would have to be Queen Kong at Queens Crag, and Andronicus at Toms Cave.

-Favourite Scarpa-

The Instinct VS-R, as they fit my feet perfectly and seem to be able to heel hook on anything.

-No Place too Far-

Rocklands because it looks like big moves on positive holds, which is my favourite kind of climbing.
