Description

Another stalwart of the SCARPA climbing shoe range, the Vapour V LV (Low Volume) is a tried and trusted bastion of the Balanced Performance series. With an impeccable blend of performance, comfort, versatility and durability it’s easy to see why this shoe can be seen everywhere; from indoor boulder gyms to the windswept granite towers of Patagonia.

Built around the lower volume FRW last, the Vapour V LV provides a slightly asymmetrical and slightly downturned profile. The microfibre upper and padded air mesh tongue marry perfectly with the opposing Velcro straps, for an instantly comfortable fit and secure heel hold. A full length Flexan midsole partners the Bi-Tension rand system to offer the optimum levels of support. Vibram XS Grip2 rubber adds support, while providing cutting edge traction across a range of surfaces.

This iteration of the Vapour V sees a switch from the M70 toe rand - used in its predecessor - to that of the harder, lower stretch Ilga rubber rand seen in the Instinct series. This results in a shoe that holds its toe point, edging precision for longer and provides improved durability.

Often mistaken for a mid-range shoe, the modern Vapour’s complex multi-panel (7) construction, precise fit, premium feature set and worldwide fanbase attest to far more!

Focus

UPPER

Multi panel upper, made of dual ply Lorenzi microfibre. Leather panels wrap the toes and the base of the foot. TPU laminate limits stretch and provides lacing support.

TENSION

Bi-Tension

The Bi-Tension System extends from the toe to the arch, providing high flexibility with optimal tension.

MIDSOLE

Full-length Talyn 1.0mm insert helps spread force across the whole foot.

IT CAN BE RESOLED

This shoe can be resolved at one of the official SCARPA resole shops. We recommend resoling before the wear and tear is excessive to preserve performance and prolong the life of your shoe or boot. Check out the full list of authorized centers on the store locator.

BI-TENSION

Thanks to the rubber that wraps around the foot along both sides of the shoe, it provides support without compromising sensitivity. This system is a perfect fit for slightly asymmetrical models, as it extends from the toes to the heel, leaving the middle part free for more sensitivity.

M70 rubber

A rubber compound developed in collaboration with Davos®, designed to offer an optimal balance between adaptability and containment. With a Shore A rating of 70, it is ideal for containment bands and strategic applications on the upper.

VIBRAM XS EDGE RUBBER

A compound developed to provide maximum support and allow for precise weight distribution, even on the smallest holds. Its high resistance to plastic deformation enables it to maintain stability and shape, even after repeated stress, offering reliable performance in both hot and cold conditions.
