Description

The Vapour S Women's utilises the popular FRW last seen in its Velcro sibling, however from here they diverge significantly, with the more dynamic S model being more sensitive and adaptable.

A slightly more forgiving microfibre upper teams up with an M50 hood. This provides the obvious performance benefit of better toe-hooking. Beyond this it also offers greater out-of-the-box comfort and the adaptability to fit more foot shapes, thanks to a great range of elasticity over the harder M70 rubber rand used on the Velcro.

Strong and flexible, the model specific Bi-Tension system in combination with the M50 hood offers excellent sensitivity and precision. Whether you're skipping across volumes or teetering between edges, the Vapour S adapts well to both. The innovative Nano Strap System adds an extra dimension to the slipper category, by offering a minimalist and modular closure option. Crank it in for extra support or just remove if simplicity is your game. A low angled toe profile and sticky rubber hood also makes the Vapour S a useful tool on thin cracks or breaks.

Finally, both men's and women’s versions come with a full length Vibram XS Grip2 outsole and full length 1mm Flexan midsole, for a good blend of support and sensitivity underfoot.

UPPER

Combines multi pieces of microfibre with seams that do not create overlap. Elastic gusset makes for an easy fit.

LACING

The new Nano Strap system allows you to customize the fit of the climbing shoe through 3 different closure modes. "Slipper mode" is the most relaxed mode, "Fast mode" for more instep adhesion, finally "Strong mode" closes tight around the ankle for ultimate support.

TENSION

Bi-Tension active randing system runs under the toes and draws back through the arch of the foot to give great flex with subtle tension.

MIDSOLE

The 1 mm Talyn insert, extending along the full length, evenly distributes force across the entire foot.

SOLE

3.5mm Vibram® XS Grip 2 sole.

IT CAN BE RESOLED

This shoe can be resolved at one of the official SCARPA resole shops. We recommend resoling before the wear and tear is excessive to preserve performance and prolong the life of your shoe or boot. Check out the full list of authorized centers on the store locator.

BI-TENSION

Thanks to the rubber that wraps around the foot along both sides of the shoe, it provides support without compromising sensitivity. This system is a perfect fit for slightly asymmetrical models, as it extends from the toes to the heel, leaving the middle part free for more sensitivity.

Technical Partners

M50 Rubber

The softest rubber compound in our range, designed to provide maximum adaptability to the shape of the foot and toes. Developed in collaboration with Davos®, it has a Shore A rating of 50, offering a high wrapping ability. Its features make it particularly suitable for the SRT system, toe cap coverings, and targeted applications on the upper.

VIBRAM XS GRIP2 RUBBER

The natural evolution of the Vibram® XS GRIP compound, widely used by world-class athletes in bouldering. Featuring significantly improved grip, it offers an excellent level of compactness, ideal for working on edges and moderately inclined holds. It also ensures consistent performance in all temperatures. It is the recommended choice for applications that require the maximum level of adhesion.
