Trail Running - England

Lex Whitaker

Lex was born and raised in North Yorkshire, spending her childhood outdoors with her family and running local fell races. She began competing and soon discovered a talent for the steep and the technical.

Not a standout athlete in track, road or XC, Lex loved the extreme and branched into skyrunning, becoming 2024 world champion in her age group. Balancing her job as a Physiotherapist and continuing higher education, Lex took the chance to travel and race wherever possible, visiting Nepal, Peru, Morocco and Europe.

She enjoys the mountains and the outdoors for the tough competition, but also for the opportunities, friendships and experiences made through her sport. She has begun to step into the senior world of running, finding inspiration in surrounding athletes and many ambitions for the future!
