Focus

GAITER

8000 metre Gaiter The wide gaiter, with adjustable closure, is composed of S-TECH Schoeller, a material based on renewable raw materials, PFC-free and Bluesign certified.Waterproof thanks to YKK® zipper and heat-sealed reflective tape for protection. Thermic System is an electrical heating system integrated into the gaiter and insole which weighs 160g and has 3 modes- 16 hours - 8 hours - 4 hours. Two Powerbanks with connector and charging cable to be placed in the pocket provided. A pair of additional heated insoles, covered in microfibre to increase comfort and durability.

LACING

Outer closure: Waterproof zip. Internal closure: Fast lock system a quick closing system divide into two parts. Pull-tabs progressively wrap the foot and allows a quick sliding of the string. The slider closes and divides the tensioning zones into two parts. The ankle is wrap but the foot is free to move. Velcro Fast Strap makes it easy to close and open the shell with adjustment and support.

SHELL

Shell 8000

The shell is made up of several layers: a water-repellent microfiber layer with high tensile strength and mechanical resistance, composed of 50% pre-consumer recycled nylon and 50% PU; a layer of felt and aluminum combined with WinTherm, made of 80% recycled PET, to provide effective active thermal insulation; and finally, a layer of micropile with EVA and cork.
A PVC structure forms a special EXOSKELETON that enhances protection, support, and foot containment, while integrating with the lacing system.
The RECCO® reflector, positioned on the upper edge of the right boot, allows for traceability in case of emergency.

SOLE

Gravity Lite with Newflex for maximum weight saving. Compatible with automatic crampons.

INSOLE

Carbon Tech 3 SL is composed of three layers: perforated EVA for optimal comfort, Aerogel® for excellent thermal insulation, and carbon fibre to provide stability and lightness.

SockFit XT

Scarpa reinterprets the concept of functionality, agility and comfort by creating innovative construction systems that wrap the foot like a sock, offering the feeling of being at one with their footwear. In the SockFit XT system, the tongue and Flex Point are made of a single piece of technical stretch fabric: durable, breathable and water- resistant.

IT CAN BE RESOLED

This shoe can be resolved at one of the official SCARPA resole shops. We recommend resoling before the wear and tear is excessive to preserve performance and prolong the life of your shoe or boot. Check out the full list of authorized centers on the store locator.

Technical Partners

HDRY

Thanks to the high quality standards of HDry®, the footwear made with this system provides excellent performance in terms of waterproofing, breathability and thermal insulation. The waterproof, breathable membrane is solidly bonded to the inner surface of the upper, sealing every seam and eliminating spaces between the lining and upper where water could infiltrate. This system prevents rain, snow, and cold from entering, keeping the inner surface dry and creating a stable microclimate by retaining air between the foot and the upper. The ultra-thin membrane and special lamination method ensure an ergonomic and lightweight fit, providing extended comfort throughout the day.

Lenzi Egisto

The new-generation yarn with very high abrasion resistance and directly woven into the fabric structure. The manufacturing process used enables the production of high-tenacity textiles designed to provide exceptional performance in terms of durability and rub resistance. An innovative technology from the Lenzi Egisto Group, conceived to increase product longevity, even under intense and prolonged use.

Ortholite

Advanced insole technology that significantly improves comfort, cushioning and breathability, creating a cooler, drier and more hygienic environment inside each shoe.

RECCO

The RECCO® reflector, integrated into equipment and clothing, enables professional rescuers equipped with RECCO® detectors to quickly locate a missing person, representing a global standard technology for avalanche rescue. Such a reflector requires no power, activation or maintenance and provides support to be searchable at all times. However, it does not replace personal self-rescue devices such as ARVAs. RECCO® SAR helicopter detectors allow large areas to be quickly scanned during searches for missing persons.

Newflex

A compound that optimizes slip-resistant and cushioning properties. Characterized by light weight and wear resistance, it provides an excellent balance of durability, cushioning and weight, ensuring high comfort in every use.

Primaloft

One of the leading brands for high-performance synthetic insulation. PrimaLoft® materials set the standard for comfort in extreme conditions, providing footwear with warmth without adding bulk, along with lightness, softness, water resistance, and high compressibility.

Schoeller

A company specialized in sustainable development and the production of innovative textiles and textile technologies, designed to ensure consistent breathability, thermal insulation, and protection.

Wintherm

A thermoregulating membrane designed to maintain a constant body temperature while ensuring excellent breathability and insulating the foot from both cold and heat. This is made possible by the combination of two technologies: an insulating felt layer and a reflective aluminum film that retains the foot's warmth inside the footwear.
