Description

The category standard for competition climbing, Drago LV is the ultimate shoe for three dimensional climbing and a perfect choice for constant-motion sequences and dynamic transitions.

SRT (Surround Rubber Tension) construction provides a compressive, glove-like fit and extended high performance rubber coverage throughout the shoe, making the Drago a near perfect weapon for hooking and compression. A seven panel, complex upper construction with foot mapped stitch lines, gives unparalleled contouring of the foot. This also provides controlled stretch, throughout the lifespan of the shoe, and zero hot spots. The 1mm Micro Flexan midsole holds toe point precision and partners perfectly with ⅓ Vibram XS-Grip2 outsole, to give world-leading friction and sensitivity across a range of angles and footholds.

The LV (low volume) version of the Drago also features our PAF (Power Absorbing Fit) heel system. This improves comfort (by dispersing pressure) and also extends heel hooking range, thanks to the XS Grip2 spine profiling all the way up the achilles. The Drago LV is the narrowest, low volume model in the SCARPA climbing range.

UPPER

Multi-panel upper (7) with seamless big toe panel and offset four toe stitch for the best custom moulding fit. Full microfibre upper with a single Velcro strap and a deep Y attachment for secure hooking. A high-stretch gusset allows easy entry.

TENSION

PCB

The PCB-Tension System ensures maximum flexibility while preserving the shoe’s shape.

The SRT system ensures perfect toe hooks thanks to the use of M50 rubber.

MIDSOLE

IT CAN BE RESOLED

This shoe can be resolved at one of the official SCARPA resole shops. We recommend resoling before the wear and tear is excessive to preserve performance and prolong the life of your shoe or boot. Check out the full list of authorized centers on the store locator.

PAF SYSTEM

An innovative method of heel construction that improves force distribution and reduces pressure on the achilles tendon, thanks to a softer rubber “bridge” that connects the two flaps of the tension system, promoting optimal adaptation to the shape of the foot. The number of holes on the rubber indicates the level of tension: 1 hole for low tension, 2 holes for medium tension, 3 holes for maximum tension.

PCB-TENSION

The most minimalist tensioning system designed for maximum grip and sensitivity. Designed to work seamlessly with the SRT system, the Power Connection Band minimizes layers and distance between the foot and sole, ensuring total freedom of movement.

SRT SURROUND RUBBER TENSION

The system that represents the key technology of the Soft Line models: Chimera, Drago and Furia S. It is an extremely soft M50 rubber layer that completely wraps around the forefoot, providing maximum foot sensitivity and grip for every toe hook. Using soft shoes like these means improving one's climbing style by naturally increasing power to the tips of the toes. SRT allows the foot to spread out on any spot on the wall, offering total freedom that facilitates faster and more dynamic movements, both on rock and artificial walls.

M50 Rubber

The softest rubber compound in our range, designed to provide maximum adaptability to the shape of the foot and toes. Developed in collaboration with Davos®, it has a Shore A rating of 50, offering a high wrapping ability. Its features make it particularly suitable for the SRT system, toe cap coverings, and targeted applications on the upper.

VIBRAM XS GRIP2 RUBBER

The natural evolution of the Vibram® XS GRIP compound, widely used by world-class athletes in bouldering. Featuring significantly improved grip, it offers an excellent level of compactness, ideal for working on edges and moderately inclined holds. It also ensures consistent performance in all temperatures. It is the recommended choice for applications that require the maximum level of adhesion.
