Eliot Stephens

Starting climbing at the age of 18, South Wales based climber Eliot Stephens quickly fell in love with the sport. After sampling traditional and sport climbing, Bouldering quickly became his chosen discipline.

Having access to a range of local climbing, and the ability to travel, Eliot quickly moved up the bouldering grades, climbing 8A/V11 within a couple of years, and 8B/V13 after just 4 years of climbing. 

Exhausting most of the bouldering in South Wales, Eliot began the process of developing, making first ascents of over 100 boulders, including Wales’ first 8C/V15 boulder ‘The Origin Sit’, at his home crag of Dinas Rock. 

For Eliot, SCARPA has been a vital partner since 2017, giving him a huge range of tools with which to hone his skills. Eliot’s favourite shoe is the Furia Air, chosen for its sensitivity and unrivalled feel.
