John McCune

From Newry, Northern Ireland, John is one of Ireland's most accomplished climbers. He has left his mark on Irish Trad climbing, repeating some of the hardest routes in the country and making many beautiful first ascents. 

Now based in Chamonix he works as an IFMGA mountain guide, guiding his clients freeride skiing, mountaineering and climbing. He has climbed many of the hardest routes in the alps on rock, ice and mixed and loves sport climbing and a big wall free climb between guiding seasons.
