Climbing - Scotland

Louise Flockhart

Scottish climber Louise Flockhart is a bouldering specialist with a background across all three competitive climbing disciplines.

Louise has reached multiple European Cup semi-finals and finals throughout her international career, and is a two-time European Youth Cup medallist. Nationally, she is a two-time British Bouldering Championship bronze medallist and a former British Speed Climbing Champion. She has also won gold at the British Universities and Colleges Sport Championships twice, taking the title in both 2024 and 2026.

For Louise, climbing now extends far beyond competition. As well bouldering & trad climbing across Scotland & the North East, she also works in media and community development within the sport, combining her experience as an athlete with a passion for storytelling and bringing climbers together. Currently, Louise is establishing a new university competition series across North East England and Scotland.

Louise chooses SCARPA for their versatility and performance. Her all round shoe is the Drago LV, on the board it’s the Instinct S, on rocks she wears Instinct VS Women’s, and she’s recently added the Furia Air to the rotation for ultimate sensitivity.
