Based in Belfast, Ricky Bell has been climbing since the age of ten and what began as a childhood passion has grown into a lifelong pursuit of adventure, progression, and exploration.
Drawn to the commitment and challenge of traditional climbing, he has developed a reputation for tackling bold objectives while continually pushing his personal limits on rock. Over the years, he has developed a deep passion for traditional climbing, drawn to its commitment, adventure, and the opportunity to explore new ground. His climbing has taken him across Europe and North America but climbing in Ireland on remote sea cliffs to iconic venues such as Fair Head are where his heart is. He has established numerous first ascents alongside a long list of challenging trad climbs and hard boulders and the odd sport line. These have helped expand Ireland's climbing, opening new lines that continue to attract repeat ascents.
