Tim Blake

Growing up in Northumberland, England, Tim Blake comes from a background of climbing. Both his parents cut their teeth on Northumberland sandstone, a love of which he has since inherited.

He spent his formative years exploring the natural landscape of the Northeast trad climbing, bouldering and working his way through Northumberland’s highball test pieces alongside Alex Moore. 

Moving to North Wales in 2019 he continued to develop his affection bouldering with making quick Work of many established hard problems. Over the next six years he spent much time developing new hard problems around North Wales and visiting the Peak District to climb dream problems from his youth. 

As of 2025 Tim has returned to Northumberland and is busy developing new lines as well as attempting to make a dent in Dan Varian’s long list of hard quality new boulder problems.
