Climbing - England

Dan Turner

Dan Turner grew up on the edge of the Lake District before finding his feet on the gritstone edges of the Yorkshire Dales. Driven by enthusiasm and a restless desire to explore, he has spent years bouldering across the UK and beyond- seeking out new problems as much as repeating the classics. Along the way he has notched up early repeats of some of Britain's most celebrated boulders, including Monk's Life and Voyager Sit.

Dan has captured his love of UK bouldering and the communities that operate within these spaces through films like This Is Yorkshire and Out of Obsession. More than a record of ascents, the films document the dedication and enthusiasm that defines the pursuit.

Away from the rock, Dan works in conservation, and that connection to wild places runs through everything he does. For him, climbing and the natural world aren't separate pursuits.

Versatile shoe for climbers seeking precision and sensitivity

"Climbing has meant different things at different times. Early on it was about performance- pushing grades, ticking problems. But over time perspectives have shifted- now it's less about what gets climbed and more about the experience of learning and being out there, surrounded by the natural world."
